Revive Signature Lip Enhancement
Lip Filler in Salinas, CA
Lips that still look like you. Shape before size, proportion over volume.
Lip filler at Revive is designed around your natural anatomy — not a trend, template, or one-size-fits-all technique. The goal is thoughtful enhancement of shape, border definition, symmetry, proportion, and volume while preserving facial harmony.

The Revive lip philosophy
Shape Before Size
Before any product is chosen, these are the things your provider is actually looking at.
Vertical height & vermilion show
How much lip you actually show at rest, which sets the ceiling on what looks proportionate.
Cupid's bow & border
The definition of your natural lip line, and whether it should be sharpened or softened.
Upper / lower proportion
The relationship between the two lips, assessed together rather than treated one at a time.
Dental show & profile
How the lips sit against your teeth and in side view, not only straight on in a mirror.
Asymmetry
Most faces are asymmetric. Some asymmetry can be addressed; some is structural and is discussed honestly.
Perioral support & movement
The tissue around the mouth and how your lips move when you speak and smile.
Why we don’t sell a named lip technique
Trend techniques come with names, hashtags and before-and-afters of somebody else’s anatomy. Revive does not advertise one of them as its signature, because technique is a clinical decision made from your lip height, border, proportion and movement — not from what is popular this year.
- We do not promise that filler will never migrate, that you will not swell, or that you will get a specific lip shape.
- We do not imply that more filler is a better result.
- Some patients are better served by staged treatments than by one larger correction.
- If a reference photo is not achievable on your anatomy, you will be told that at consultation.
Honest scope
What Lip Filler Can and Cannot Do
What it does well
- Subtle volume enhancement
- Shape and border refinement
- Selected asymmetry concerns
- Restoring proportional volume
- A first-time result that still reads as your own mouth
What it cannot do
- It cannot guarantee a specific lip shape, or the lips in a photo of someone else.
- It cannot correct every asymmetry — some is skeletal or muscular rather than volume-related.
- It cannot lift significant perioral laxity, which may call for a different modality.
- It is not a treatment where more product is automatically a better result.
- It does not stop your lips from changing over time; this is maintenance, not a one-time fix.
Best positioned for
Who May Be a Candidate
- You want subtle enhancement rather than an obviously treated look.
- Your goal is shape, border definition or symmetry more than size.
- This is your first time and you would rather start conservatively.
- You have lost proportional lip volume over time and want it restored.
- You are willing to stage treatment when staging is the better plan.
How candidacy is decided
Candidacy is determined at consultation. If lip filler is not the right answer for what is bothering you, you will be told that — and pointed at facial balancing, a wrinkle relaxer or a different filler treatment instead.

Lip Results

How we photograph lip results
- Revive patients with documented photo consent only.
- Same camera, focal length, lighting, distance, background, head position and expression.
- No beauty filters and no retouching of skin or facial contours.
- No immediately post-injection swelling shown as a final result.
- Individual results vary. These are examples of work, not a prediction of your outcome.
What to expect
Your Lip Filler Appointment
Start to finish, so nothing about the appointment is a surprise.
Consultation and assessment
Your lips are assessed in the context of your whole face — proportion, profile, movement and the concern you actually came in with.
Product and amount selected
Product and treatment amount are selected according to anatomy and goal, not by asking you how many syringes you would like to buy.
Injection
Treatment is performed using the technique your provider selects for your anatomy. Topical numbing and product containing lidocaine are used for comfort; this is an injection, so expect to feel it.
Immediate swelling
Swelling can make lips look larger or uneven straight after treatment. What you see in the chair is not your result.
Short-term effects
Bruising, tenderness, firmness and swelling are common in the days that follow, and they are expected rather than a sign something went wrong.
Final assessment
Your result is assessed after swelling has settled, and follow-up is offered according to Revive protocol.
Recovery
Lip Filler Swelling, Day by Day
A realistic timeline rather than a promise. Everyone swells differently, and yours may be faster or slower than this.
- Day 0
- Immediately after treatment lips are swollen and can look noticeably larger and uneven. Apply cold compresses as instructed, sleep with your head elevated, and skip strenuous exercise and alcohol.
- Days 1–3
- Swelling is usually most noticeable early and often peaks in this window. Bruising, tenderness and small firm areas are common. Lips may feel tight or lumpy to the touch.
- Days 4–7
- Most of the visible swelling typically settles. Bruising, if you have it, fades. Small irregularities often soften on their own as the product integrates.
- Weeks 2–4
- Filler settles and your shape becomes readable. This is the point at which your result is fairly assessed — and the point at which a refinement, if one is warranted, is discussed.
Lip filler safety
All dermal filler injections carry risks. Common effects include swelling, tenderness, bruising, redness, pain, and lumps. Rare but serious vascular complications can occur, including tissue injury and vision complications. Patients receive written instructions on warning signs and how to contact Revive urgently.
Contact Revive immediately if you notice
- Worsening or severe pain rather than pain that improves
- Skin that turns white, dusky, blue or mottled
- Any change in vision
- Increasing redness, heat or swelling after the first few days

The questions nobody answers
Migration and Dissolving, Honestly
Filler migration
Migration describes filler that has moved beyond where it was placed — most visibly as fullness above the lip border. It is influenced by placement, product selection, how much product is used, and how often lips are re-treated before previous product has resolved. Conservative amounts, appropriate product choice and honest re-treatment intervals reduce the risk. No provider can promise it will never happen, and Revive will not make that promise to win a booking.
Dissolving filler
Many hyaluronic-acid fillers can be treated with hyaluronidase when it is clinically appropriate. Dissolving is its own medical procedure with its own risks, its own consent, and its own indications — including allergic reaction and the removal of more product than intended. It is not an undo button, and it is not a reason to over-treat in the first place.
If you are unhappy with work done elsewhere, bring it to a consultation. Whether the right answer is time, refinement, or dissolving is a clinical judgement, and it is made in person.
Product selection
Which Filler, and Why
Revive selects filler based on anatomy, tissue characteristics, treatment area, and aesthetic goal. Hyaluronic-acid fillers differ in how firm they are, how much they attract water, and how they behave in a mobile area like the lips — which is why product selection is part of the treatment plan rather than a brand preference.
About Evolysse®
Evolysse Form and Evolysse Smooth are FDA-approved injectable hyaluronic-acid dermal fillers. They are not skincare, and they are not a topical product. Their approved indication is the correction of moderate-to-severe dynamic facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds, in adults aged 22 and older. Form is positioned by the manufacturer for lift and support; Smooth for a softer, smoother result.
Certain treatment areas may represent off-label use and are discussed during informed consent. Revive does not describe lip, cheek, chin or jawline treatment with Evolysse as the FDA-approved indication.
Dermal filler products each have their own labeling, and the approved use depends on the specific product. Longevity varies by product, area, anatomy, metabolism, and treatment amount, so Revive does not publish one duration for every filler.
A different tool
Lip Filler or Lip Flip?
A lip flip is not a smaller lip filler. It uses a neurotoxin to relax the upper lip so a little more of it shows when you smile, and it adds no volume at all. It suits a specific anatomy — a hyperactive upper lip with reasonable existing volume — and it is a separate treatment with a separate duration and a separate price.
If a lip flip is the better answer for your anatomy, you will be told that at consultation rather than sold a syringe of filler.

Lip Treatment Planning With Angelica Alcaraz, BSN, RN
Angelica is a Registered Nurse Injector who approaches lips as a proportion problem before a volume one. Assessment comes first, product second, and the amount is whatever the anatomy supports — which is sometimes less than a patient expected to buy.

If you have been searching for lip filler or lip injections near you, the question worth asking a provider is not what they charge per syringe. It is what they would do if your anatomy called for less product than you came in asking for. If lips are one part of a broader goal, facial balancing plans the whole face instead.
