Epicutis: skincare for skin that has to recover
Eight ingredients. One patented lipid. No fragrance.
Epicutis is the line we reach for when a barrier is compromised — after microneedling, after a peel, after laser, or after a year of products that were quietly making things worse. Short ingredient lists, high concentrations, and nothing in them to provoke skin that is already provoked.

For experts, by experts
A short list of ingredients, each one doing real work
Short version
Clean formulations, very few ingredients, high concentrations, fragrance-free. Built for post-procedure recovery and for compromised, reactive skin.
Most skincare sold on results is a long ingredient list with a little of everything. Epicutis goes the other way. The Lipid Serum has eight ingredients. The whole line is built on molecules Signum Biosciences developed and patented, used at concentrations that do something, with no fragrance to irritate skin that is already reacting.
That matters most in the window Epicutis was designed for: the days right after a treatment, when the barrier is open and the wrong product undoes the result you paid for. Signum's own framing is that the line exists to protect the investment of an aesthetic treatment — which is exactly how we use it.
It is also the line we hand to people whose skin is reacting to something and nobody can say what. Stripping the routine back to three gentle, concentrated steps is often the thing that lets skin settle enough to see what is actually going on.
The Simple System
Three steps, morning and night
Epicutis calls its core routine the Simple System. It is the regimen behind most of the brand's own case studies, and it is what we start nearly everyone on.
Cleanse
Oil Cleanser
An oil cleanse that lifts makeup, sunscreen and the day off without stripping the barrier. At night, most people double cleanse with it.
Treat
Lipid Serum
Eight ingredients, led by TSC. A pea-sized amount over the whole face, plus an extra drop for the neck and décolleté. This is the step doing the heavy lifting.
Hydrate
Hyvia® Crème
The seal. Hyvia is Signum's chia-seed-derived moisturizing agent, carrying stabilized omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids.
Twice daily is the instruction, and consistency is the whole trick. Everything else in the line — the masks, the exfoliating powder, the brightening treatment — layers onto these three.
In the treatment room
It sits on the tray, not just the shelf
The Oil Cleanser and the Lipid Serum live next to the SkinPen Precision Elite, because that is where they get used. The mask goes on at the end of a microneedling session, the serum goes on before you leave, and the same two bottles go home with you.
That is the whole reason this line is here. A product we only sold would sit in a cabinet; this one we have to trust on skin we just treated.

What Epicutis makes
Not everything is right for every skin, and not everything is on our shelf at any given moment. Ask Angelica what makes sense for yours.
Oil Cleanser
Step one of the Simple System. Dissolves sunscreen and makeup; used as a double cleanse in the evening.
Lipid Serum
Eight ingredients at therapeutic concentrations of TSC. Epicutis positions it for inflamed, stressed, sensitive or post-procedure skin. The product most people start with.
Hyvia® Crème
The moisturizer built around Hyvia, Signum's organic non-GMO chia seed oil extract, for hydration and for calming the look of irritation.
Lipid Recovery Mask
A sheet mask used in clinic straight after microneedling, peels and laser, and at home after sun or wind exposure. Also made for the eyes, and for the neck and décolleté.
Enzyme Exfoliating Powder
An enzyme exfoliant rather than an acid or a scrub — the gentler route to texture when skin cannot take a stronger exfoliation.
Arctigenin Brightening Treatment
Built on ABSO, a burdock seed oil enriched to roughly five times the arctigenin of the ordinary extract. Epicutis's answer for uneven tone and dark spots.
Lipid Body Treatment
The same lipid thinking below the jawline, for body skin that is dry, rough or reactive.
Lipid Shield SPF 30
Sun protection formulated to sit over the rest of the routine. Sunscreen is not optional after any resurfacing treatment.
The molecules
What Signum actually invented
Worth saying plainly
These are the manufacturer's claims about its own ingredients, not a clinical opinion from Revive. Whether any of it is right for your skin is a conversation, not a product description.
Six ingredients in the line are proprietary to Signum Biosciences and used nowhere else. These are the manufacturer's own descriptions of what each one is for.
- TSC
- Tetramethyl hexadecenyl succinoyl cysteine. A patented molecule Signum describes as a super-lipid: it restores the skin's natural barrier while targeting inflammatory pathways, without irritation. It is the active in the Lipid Serum.
- HYVIA®
- Salvia hispanica seed oil extract — organic, non-GMO chia. A moisturizing agent that delivers stable omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids to boost hydration and calm inflammation. The Hyvia Crème is named for it.
- DSD
- Disodium S-phytyl diglycoloylcysteine. A lipid-like mimetic related to TSC, with antioxidant properties aimed at UV- and pollution-induced damage.
- AGSE
- Activated grape seed extract. Signum describes it as clinically proven against fine lines and wrinkles, with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.
- ABSO
- Arctigenin-enriched burdock seed oil — about five times the arctigenin of regular burdock seed oil. Arctigenin is the brightening component, and ABSO is what the Arctigenin Brightening Treatment is built on.
- QFC
- Acetylglutaminoyl farnesylcysteine. An antioxidant Signum formulates for hydration and for the look of dark under-eye circles.
What we use it for
The problems it is actually good at
Where Epicutis earns its place on our shelf — and where we would point you somewhere else instead.
- 01
Recovery after a treatment
The reason we carry it. After microneedling, a peel or laser, the barrier is open and the next 72 hours decide how the result settles. Epicutis is what we send people home with, and the Lipid Recovery Mask is what goes on in the room before you leave.

A barrier that has been overworked
Tight, stinging, flaking skin that reacts to products it used to tolerate is usually a barrier problem, not a hydration problem. Stripping back to three concentrated, fragrance-free steps gives it room to recover.

- 03
Visible redness and uneven tone
Calming the look of redness is what the Lipid Serum is formulated to do. Persistent facial redness can also be rosacea or another medical condition — that needs an assessment, not a serum, and Angelica will tell you honestly which one you are looking at.
Assessment first
- 04
Dark spots and post-inflammatory marks
The Arctigenin Brightening Treatment targets uneven tone. For melasma and deeper pigment we usually pair home care with an in-clinic plan rather than relying on either alone.

- 05
Dryness that moisturizer is not fixing
If a cream disappears within the hour, the issue is usually lipids rather than water. That is the gap the Lipid Serum and the Hyvia Crème are built for.

- 06
Active acne
Epicutis can sit alongside acne care and keep a barrier intact while a stronger routine does its work — but it is not an acne treatment and we will not sell it to you as one. Start with an assessment.

Before and after
What it does, on real skin
Epicutis documents its own cases, and these are the ones worth showing you: the regimen used and how long it took, exactly as the manufacturer recorded them. Some are a single week.

Results vary from person to person, and nothing here is a promise about your skin — that is what the consultation is for.
Epicutis names four procedure families its products are formulated around — microneedling, chemical peels, laser resurfacing, and filler and injectables. We offer all four, which is the honest reason this line is on our shelf rather than a different one.
Where to buy Epicutis
Epicutis is dispensed through providers, not sold on a shelf
Epicutis is a professional line: its own online store asks you to choose a provider before you can check out. The simplest route is to pick it up at Revive, where Angelica can match the products to your skin and your treatment plan. Call (831) 272-2506 for what we have in stock, or ask at your next visit.
