How it works
What a Redness Plan Targets
Haemoglobin absorbs 1064 nm, which is the basis for directing this wavelength at vascular targets. Most redness presentations have more than one component, and a plan is built around which of them is dominant in your skin.
Diffuse background redness
The persistent flush across the cheeks, nose and chin that does not settle between flares. This is usually what patients mean when they say their face is always red, and it is the most common thing a redness series is built around.
Visible vessels
Telangiectasia — the fine surface vessels that become more defined over time, particularly around the nostrils and across the cheeks. Haemoglobin absorbs 1064 nm, which is the basis for targeting them.
Inflammatory papules and pustules
Papulopustular rosacea carries an inflammatory component alongside the vascular one. The same platform that addresses inflammation in acne is directed at it here, within an individualized plan.
Flushing reactivity
Some patients report that flare triggers feel less dramatic after a series. This is an individual response rather than a promised outcome, and it does not remove the need to manage your triggers.
Setting expectations
Rosacea Is Chronic. Treatment Manages It.
Rosacea is not cured by a laser series, and you should treat any claim otherwise as a reason to walk out. What treatment addresses is the visible vascular component — the background redness and the defined vessels. For most people that is the part they actually want gone.
What does not change is your underlying tendency to flush and the things that set it off. Sun, heat, alcohol, spice and stress will still be triggers after a completed series. Managing them is part of the plan, not an afterthought — and new vessels can develop over time, particularly with continued sun exposure.
Periodic maintenance is the normal long-term shape of vascular treatment. Established patients are $400–$450 per maintenance session after a completed series.

Comparing approaches
What About VBeam and Pulsed Dye Laser?
If you have researched rosacea treatment at all, you have run into pulsed dye laser — VBeam is the name most people arrive with. It is well established for vascular redness. Revive does not run a PDL, and we are not going to tell you Aerolase beats one, because that claim would need head-to-head evidence for your presentation and we do not have it.
What is worth knowing: PDL and 1064 nm Nd:YAG target the same chromophore at different depths and with different absorption profiles, and they differ in how they behave across skin types and in what bruising you might expect. Those differences matter differently depending on whether your redness is diffuse or vessel-defined, and on your skin type.
If your presentation would be better served by a modality we do not offer, we would rather tell you at the consultation than sell you five sessions of the wrong thing.

Aerolase Neo Elite uses a 1064 nm wavelength and 650-microsecond pulse technology designed for treatment across Fitzpatrick I–VI. Treatment settings and candidacy remain individualized according to your concern, skin response, medical history and pigment risk.
Rosacea is routinely under-recognised in deeper skin tones, partly because the redness reads differently against more pigmented skin and partly because several vascular devices restrict candidacy. Neo Elite is designed across Fitzpatrick I–VI, with settings and candidacy still assessed individually.

How a Redness Plan Runs

Work out what kind of redness this is
Rosacea, post-inflammatory redness from acne, sun-related vascular change and simple sensitivity are not the same thing and do not respond the same way. Some presentations warrant dermatologic assessment before any laser plan, and we will say so.

Individualized parameters
Settings are selected for your presentation and skin type. Rosacea-prone skin is often reactive, so the plan is built conservatively rather than run at maximum tolerated energy.

Your sessions
Sessions are short and delivered with no gel or cooling head against the skin. Most patients describe brief warm pulses. Some flushing immediately afterwards is common and expected in redness work.

Between sessions
Aerolase is generally positioned as low social downtime rather than no downtime. Temporary redness, warmth or other treatment-specific reactions can occur, and what you experience is individual.

Trigger management and maintenance
Rosacea is chronic. Treatment addresses the visible vascular component; it does not change what triggers your flares. A series plus trigger management plus periodic maintenance is the realistic shape of a long-term plan.
