The technology
What Makes Neo Elite Different
Neo Elite is a 1064 nm Nd:YAG laser using 650-microsecond pulse technology for 30+ FDA-cleared indications. Those two numbers — the wavelength and the pulse duration — are what determine which concerns it can address and which skin types it is designed for.
1064 nm Nd:YAG wavelength
1064 nm passes through the epidermis with relatively little absorption by surface melanin. That is the physical reason the platform is designed for use across Fitzpatrick I–VI rather than being restricted to lighter skin types.
650-microsecond pulse
Energy is delivered in a very short pulse. The intent is to reach the target while limiting heat spread into surrounding tissue, which is what keeps the treatment non-ablative and typically low in social downtime.
30+ FDA-cleared indications
One platform covers acne, redness and inflammation, melasma and hyperpigmentation, scars, rosacea, psoriasis and selected vascular concerns. That breadth is why Aerolase is a technology category here rather than a single-condition service.
No contact, no consumables on the skin
Treatment is delivered without gels or cooling attachments in contact with the skin. Most patients describe a series of brief warm pulses rather than a snap.

Six Concerns, One Platform
Start with the concern that brought you here. Each one has its own page with its own protocol, expectations and realistic limits.
- 01
Acne + Inflammation
A progressive laser plan for active inflammation, acne-associated redness, PFB and razor bumps, and the post-inflammatory pigmentation acne leaves behind. Acne is chronic and relapsing for many people, so the goal is meaningful, maintained improvement rather than a permanent cure — and Aerolase sits alongside appropriate dermatologic care, not in place of it.
Acne vulgaris, acne-associated redness, PFB and razor bumps
NeoClear Acne Program - 02
Pigment + Melasma
A conservative 1064 nm strategy for selected melasma, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation and uneven tone. Melasma is chronic and recurs, so a series is paired with sun protection and individualized skin care rather than sold as a cure.
Melasma, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, uneven pigmentation
NeoBright Pigment Program - 03
Rosacea + Redness
Treatment directed at the vascular component of rosacea-associated redness — diffuse background flush and defined surface vessels. Rosacea is chronic; treatment manages the visible component and does not change your triggers.
Rosacea-associated redness, selected vascular concerns
NeoCalm Redness Program - 04
Skin Rejuvenation
Non-ablative treatment for tone, texture, brightness, fine lines and early laxity. Progressive rather than a step change, which is the trade-off that keeps social downtime low.
Tone, texture, brightness, fine lines, early laxity
NeoSkin Rejuvenation - 05
Scar Revision
Laser treatment plans directed at scar color, texture and overall appearance for selected acne and surgical scars — including a dedicated post-surgical program for tummy tuck, breast surgery, liposuction and C-section scars. Scars are improved, not erased, and the page says so plainly.
Selected acne and surgical scars
NeoScar Revision - 06
Skin of Color
A major differentiator: the Neo platform is designed for use across all Fitzpatrick skin types, which is why patients who have been told a laser is not an option for their skin tone are worth a conversation here.
Fitzpatrick I–VI
Skin of Color
A major niche
Your surgery is finished. Your scar care doesn't have to be.
Aerolase Neo Elite may be used as part of an individualized scar-revision plan to improve selected redness, pigmentation and overall scar appearance after the incision has fully healed and is medically appropriate for laser treatment.
Abdominoplasty and tummy tuck scars, breast augmentation, lift and reduction scars, liposuction access points, C-section scars and selected other surgical or traumatic scars. We will not promise a scar disappears — results depend on scar age, color, thickness, location, surgical technique, skin type and individual healing.

Every skin type
Advanced Laser Treatment for Every Fitzpatrick Skin Type
Aerolase Neo Elite uses a 1064 nm wavelength and 650-microsecond pulse technology designed for treatment across Fitzpatrick I–VI. Treatment settings and candidacy remain individualized according to your concern, skin response, medical history and pigment risk.
For patients in Salinas and across Monterey County who have been told they are not a candidate for laser treatment because of their skin tone, this is the specific reason Aerolase is worth a conversation. Candidacy and settings are still assessed individually, including pigment risk.

Choosing between devices
Aerolase vs IPL, Er:YAG and SkinPen
Revive runs several skin platforms because they do different jobs. None of the comparisons below claim one device beats another outright — that would need head-to-head evidence for your specific concern, and we do not have it.
At a glance
| Aerolase Neo Elite | Single 1064 nm wavelength, non-ablativeTypically low social downtime |
|---|---|
| IPL | Broadband light, many wavelengthsCandidacy narrows in deeper tones |
| Er:YAG | Ablative — removes tissue to resurfaceReal downtime |
| SkinPen | Controlled micro-injury, collagen remodelingShort recovery per session |
Aerolase vs IPL
IPL is broadband light across many wavelengths, which is why candidacy is more restricted in deeper skin tones. Aerolase is a single 1064 nm wavelength. They overlap on pigment and redness, and the right choice depends on your skin type, the specific presentation and your pigment risk — not on one device being universally better.
Read moreAerolase vs Er:YAG resurfacing
Er:YAG is ablative: it removes tissue to resurface, so it addresses texture and depth more aggressively and carries real downtime. Aerolase is non-ablative and progressive. Patients wanting a step change in texture may be better served by resurfacing; patients wanting skin-quality improvement without time off usually are not.
Read moreAerolase vs SkinPen microneedling
SkinPen creates controlled micro-injuries to drive a collagen and remodeling response, which is why it is a mainstay for textural acne scarring. Aerolase works through selective photothermal targeting of color — pigment, vessels and inflammation. Scar plans often use them in sequence rather than choosing one.

Aerolase alongside Sculptra or hyperdilute Radiesse
Biostimulators may address structural collagen support, while Aerolase may be staged separately to address skin quality, pigment, redness, texture and selected signs of aging. The two are staged separately when it makes sense to do both. We do not claim Aerolase makes a biostimulator work better — that would require direct evidence for that exact protocol, and it does not exist.
For established patients already in a biostimulator plan, a staged Aerolase add-on runs $350–$400 when the timing is appropriate.
What to expect
From Consultation to Completed Series
01
Skin consultation
We look at your concern, skin type, medical history, current products and medications, and any prior laser or light treatment. Some concerns are a good fit for Aerolase, some are better served by another modality, and some need dermatologic care first. You will be told which.
02
Individualized parameters
Settings are selected for your presentation and skin type rather than run from a fixed protocol. Pigment risk in particular is assessed before treatment, not after.
03
The session
A full-face session is short. Most patients describe a sequence of brief warm pulses moving across the treatment area, with no gel or cooling head in contact with the skin.
04
Afterward
Aerolase is generally positioned as low social downtime rather than no downtime. Temporary redness, warmth or other treatment-specific reactions can occur, and what you experience is individual.
05
The series
Most Aerolase goals are progressive, which is why the Signature Series of 5 is the primary structure. Sessions are spaced according to your concern and how your skin responds, and the plan is reassessed as the series runs.
Manufacturer-supported clinical materials describe a five-treatment Aerolase series for acne. Published figures come from small studies under study conditions and describe reduction in lesion counts, not clearance — they are not a promise of any individual result. Your own response depends on acne type, severity, skin type, hormonal factors and how consistently you complete the series.

Aerolase Planning With Angelica Alcaraz, BSN, RN
Settings, session spacing and the number of treatments are selected from your concern, skin type, medical history, current products and how your skin responds as a series runs — not from a fixed protocol applied to everyone. Where a concern is better addressed by another modality, or needs dermatologic care first, Angelica will say so at the consultation.
